I go to a coffee shop every day after work - and even on weekends - because it’s sort of a coping mechanism for my mental illness. There, I do programming, fediverse and listen to music. That’s all I need.
BUT!
When a heathen holiday makes it so that ALL cafes are closed, what can I do…
I’ll take celebrating an actual thing over any religious holiday. We should have more of them.
Praise Sol

While I’d never deny anybody any rite they insist on clinging to, I agree, in principal. 😊 FERTILITY HERE WE COME 🤪🍆🍑🍈
Counterpoint: it is your fault because you could have opened a coffee shop that would be open today.
I have no words. Next up: The Fedicup
Edit: unless you have a better name :)
The Latteverse
Good name as long as you only serve federal agents
I’ll literally put up a “no law enforcement” sign 🤬
How about Pie🥧Fed 🤤
Maybe fed pie and you can be like the Sweeny Todd!
You made me drop a piece of my sandwich out of my mouth. That’s great!
Make coffee at home.
Or better yet invest in a keg and you can have all the beer you want
where do you live that cafes close for summer solstice…?
also, lol at the correct literal use of “heathen”
I know the Swedes have a big festival for Midsommar. I think someone make a real killer of a film about it not too long ago…
A friend of a close friend of mine created parts of the soundtrack, which got the movie a lot of good reviews. 😊
Those types of movies aren’t my thing, but maybe I’ll give the soundtrack a try
Do! And do let me know what you thought of it! You can be completely honest! 😊
Sweden. Yeah, usually it’s the monotheists that complain about us heathens, but for once, give me a break… 🤣
I think it’s good, lovely, and pure an entire staff have an entire day off to rest, spend time with family, create art, just chill. In fact, why shouldn’t they have 2 day weekends and rotating a weekday off? It’s needed, fair, and just. Humanity managed before an always-on society, we can learn to do it again.
Inb4 emergency services, real needs such as bandages, home health, etc. Of course it’s fair and just some establishments be always on, but so is having enough staff that everyone gets rotating two day weekends and an additional weekday off, to do personal business.
