Not quite as powerful hardware as that of @jomiran@lemmy.ml , but it works: I feel ever so slightly less depressed during the darker seasons. Mind you, winter is coming. I know the difference in white balance looks terrible, but somehow my body doesn’t mind.

The lights are so light - pun astronomically intended - that I was able to use tape to slap them onto the wall. No drilling.

I’m not sure what minimalism even means…? Haha. My version of “minimalism” is just “must be easy to clean and hide away”, so I don’t keep trinkets or knick-knacks, and have solid doors on all cabinets and bookcases, and avoid flowering plants. But evergreen and leafy greens are fine by me! As long as I water them when they begin to droop they basically never drop any leaves.
Be brave, dare to dream! Think of a plant (or plant shelf) not as a mere material possession but as a cross between a favourite figurine and a pet; a living necessity. You can even find plants with more muted silvery-green leaves, or deeply dark green if you don’t want a massive pop of colour.
And if you don’t like it you can always toss it or give it away, unlike a pet or favorite figurine.
