An item fell off the table that I needed. Months ago it would have fallen into the trash. Instead, it fell harmlessly to the floor because I moved the trash can explicitly to prevent items from falling in. Crisis averted. I feel good and smart.

My wife put a trash can right under the key hooks which drove me crazy because we had to dig out the keys a few times when the hook was missed.
At my current place the trash can lives under a countertop ledge so nothing can fall in accidentally. Good bye source of stress!
Wait until you hear about bin lids!
But that prevents me from hucking junk from across the room
Introducing SmartBin!™ Use your phone to open the lid from across the room!
Now with wifi, HDMI, cloud storage, blockchain and AI.
He’s a witch!
This is life-changing, though. I remember when I figured this out.
I lost a whole pair of glasses that way. Cat knocked then them into the bin next to my desk. Im now really thought on where both bins and precious items rest.
