I’ve had two wisdom teeth removed as a teenager since they were growing horizontally. The two others were left there because they were pretty far in, removing them was riskier and they weren’t causing any trouble. Gum was tender lately and this morning I realized this is because a wisdom tooth just erupted.
Moral of the story: there’s no age for coming out.

Do you mean erupt as in emerge from the gums, or erupt as in explode/shattered? Because one is probably not great…
Oh no just nicely erupting as in “Hellooo I’m out of the gums now! chomp~chomp ^___^”. Dunno what’s the best verb for it I’m not a native speaker.
Non-violently I’d probably go for emerge (like a butterfly from a cocoon), as erupt sound kinda destructive (like a volcano). But I’m no expert, nor native speaker, so I just go by vibes.
I had my wisdom teeth emerge and withdraw back and forth for years - they seem to have settled now, but dont be surprised if yours gets a little shy from all this new attention and goes back into hiding for a bit.
erupt is technically the right term. it’s used in medical contexts. i agree that it sounds weird, but that is by far not the strangest phrasing in English, lol. (native speaker)
Cool, TIL. Is that used specifically for teeth or for any medical stuff…appearing (like, from under the skin)?
yep! rashes, boils… larvae… eww.

Any medical stuff where it’s appropriate, as well as a lot of biology stuff for similar reasons.
