The most frustrating thing is how parts like this do not even increase the efficiency of the fridges. They are literally money pit sinks for the manufacturer to sell OEM parts. And create planned obsolescence. Older design used the heat transfered from the evaporator coils and a tray to dry out the condensation.
Obligatory warning against bait poisoning small animals who then become fed on by other larger wildlife including foxes and owls. Which then become poisoned and can die in turn. So if you choose to use poison especially those that coagulate the blood to kill, you may be killing other wildlife.
Good on ya fella. If u hadnt responded with a fix I would have told u not to waste your time mixing and matching. Usually more efficient to just replace the whole assemble. These items are generally not very universal between manufactures and after market parts.
