Yeah, I’m a bit worried I might get banned from this community. Maybe I should mark it NSFW.
The one I have takes AAA or AA. I failed to replace the batteries one time when they weee dead, and then they leaked. I cleaned it and put in new batteries. Ever since, the temperature an humidity swing wildly. Or sometimes just say NO for both readings. I did see how much a new sensor was at one point, but never got around to buying it.

If you buy more, you’ll find the old ones right away.
Very rarely above 100°F here. But almost always high humidity. I’ve run it around the clock for six months of the year for a decade. If it dies from this, I’ll be a bit bummed but I’ve definitely got my money’s worth.
I was wondering what effect I could have on the fan. Any links you recommend to find out more about this?
There still a significant amount of air moving through it, so I wonder if I’m still good.

I’ll have to look for a different solution for rate-limiting my internet then.
Until the power goes out and it resets itself to be on.
It’s under an eave, so it’s always dry and shaded.
