You have a clock (not a timer) on the oven and microwave? What for?

Also some ovens can be programmed to start at a certain time. Say you have prepared the meal already but have things to do in the meantime and want it to be done cooking at dinnertime.
Is it a practical usecase? Because I don’t like the idea of an unsupervised working oven. And the microwave works just for a few minutes in most cases, so programming work time doesn’t make much sense.
Yes, I have used it before. It also doesn’t necessarily mean unsupervised, maybe I am just doing something else, like working in the office in another room, or cleaning or whatever.
