Is the injury on the outside part of the nose, and is the lab in person? Sometimes school/university labs will have first aid kits
There should definitely be a first aid kit somewhere in the building, free for anyone to use.
Shove a tampon in there.
I suggest shortening the length (keep enough string to get it out)
