Just saw a massive rat in the back garden. Might not fit in the box! Anyway, be gone ye blighter!

Usually rats hang out in areas that provide them with food or shelter

Do you have a compost bin or a messy yard where it might feel comfortable?

Might be best to take care of those issues first otherwise even if you kill it another one might just move in right after.
