I have a bit of a headache so I grabbed a couple acetaminophens in “easy to swallow caplet” form. then I grabbed my water bottle, but it was empty. fml. grabbed the empty bottle and prepared to head downstairs to fill it up. Bumped that fingernail that I keep meaning to cut. ow. ok, I’ll cut it now while I remember. but I got these pills in my hand.
no problem, I’ll hold the pills with my lips while I trim the fingernail, then head downstairs for the water. OK, find clipper, trim. pills still in lips. OK, downstairs, OK, fill waterbottle. pills still in lips. Prepare to swallow pills.
wtf the pills are stuck to my lip somehow. Kinda like how your tongue gets stuck to a lamp-post, I guess? but it’s not even cold. probably just a little sticky or something. just force the pills off my lips, no problem. hurts a bit more than expected.
Look in the mirror: my lip is freakin’ bleeding from where the pills were stuck on them! each pill took a small strip of skin with it! there are two little cuts, one each from each pill. wtf!? how is this even possible…
there was only one way to express my state of mind…
I told my cousin and showed them this meme and I was like: this is my life now. this is how I spend my saturday nights. and cuz was like: taking pills and making memes! living the life!
Is it gelatin coated? I’ve never left them on long enough to let it adhere to my lip that much, but I always notice it sticking when I take too long to get water after popping one in my mouth.
If you need to avoid it in the future, just letting more water soak into the pill should make it let go of your lip. Hope your poor lip recovers soon.
That’s what I figured, but I didn’t realize it would be a problem til too late. Next time it’ll be like:
